The experts recommend that the
stimulation signals are with null average. This principle is related on the risks of
electrolysis in treated tissues and to the level electrodes.
The polarized currents are also contra-indicated when
material of osteo-synthesis is present under the treatment zone.
There still, we are opposite certain
contradictions :
- The average current transported in the polarized
impulse, is weak (0,25 mA) and of short duration. It is probable that the
allotted electrolytic properties are less significant than in reality.
- The negative charge of the impulse with null
average, is ineffective. The energy which it contains, is not employed.
